![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() but I feel like they did it in a very tasteful way that felt fun and natural. Seeing early gameplay and trailers I was expecting to hate all the loot dropping out of zombies, armor, scorestreaks, etc. I also really liked the changes they made. I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea especially for such a beloved mode and I’m not necessarily saying it’s mine either, but I was getting tired of how complicated zombies had become over the years. Don’t get me wrong I also loved the more “complicated maps” (SOE and MOTD are my absolute favorites) but after so many years in a row it was nice to just be able to say screw all that, hop on zombies and mindlessly run in circles for an hour or two and listen to some music and turn your brain off. I actually really liked the change of pace Cold War had giving such a casual experience and making the character feel OP. I’ve been mainly a zombies player in COD since BO3 since MP wasn’t really grabbing me in those years. But I do think it was good regardless and I’d give it a B+ probably. Was it as good or better than the BO1 campaign? No. I wouldn’t say it was the best campaign ever but I liked how it was like a remixed version of the BO1 campaign with similar story beats. I’ve been playing COD on and off through the years since BO1 and I can genuinely say Cold War was my favorite. I know many won’t agree with this and downright think Cold War was a bad game. ![]()
